Coordinator, Operations/Logistics

Position Summary

The coordinator, operations/logistics brings planning and logistics management expertise to a project team as a key contact for participants and suppliers to support effective implementation of educational initiatives. He/she ensures a flawless logistics experience for the participant so that the focus can remain on the educational needs of health care professionals (HCPs), in order to reduce the healthcare gaps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for planning, confirmation and execution of all logistical details including decisions and contingency planning for educational programs
  • Contribute to the execution of an education initiative in order to help reduce healthcare gaps, while meeting patient’s and HCP’s needs
    • Provide subject matter expertise on venues, activities and destinations to ensure program objectives and timelines are met
    • Effective establishment and tracking of logistics-related costs and budgets
    • Manage and negotiate suppliers to ensure best value, clear communication of details and expectations, smooth execution of logistics, effective proactive solutions and problem resolution as needed, and accuracy of invoicing
    • Employ expertise and diligence with contract management
  • Ensure compliance with ethical healthcare educational standards/guidelines as well as relevant customer internal policies
  • Coordinates and/or acts as a member of various cross-functional teams
  • Continually engage in self-development of logistics and operations efficiency and performance measurement
  • Monitor CHE/CPD and logistics/ event planning environment for new trends, opportunities and competitor strategies while staying attuned to new technologies

Key requirements for this job

Education

High school degree



Experience
  • CMP designation/ minimum of 5 years of experience in meeting planning/ hospitality
  • Experience with health care systems (direct or indirect)
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience (direct or indirect)

  • Superior planning and logistics knowledge and experience for small- and large-scale programs and events
  • Excellence in communication (verbal and written)
  • Participant- and customer-focused
  • Ability and willingness to learn and to challenge the status quo
  • Flexibility, autonomy, initiative, and critical eye for detail
  • Able to positively contribute to a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to accommodate significant domestic and/or international travel
